We support the humanities in Arkansas in many ways, and you can designate your support for one of the ways listed here when you donate.
Advocacy HumanitiesAR is committed to coordinating its advocacy with other humanities organizations. This collaborative approach strengthens the voice of the humanities in the halls of Congress, enabling our community to make the strongest case possible for funding.
Community Engagement Statewide forums provide HumanitiesAR the opportunity to get to know Arkansas’s diverse communities. In turn, these communities help us shape new programs and initiatives.
Education and Literacy HumanitiesAR is dedicated to supporting education and literacy in all areas of the state, especially in underserved communities. One example of that support is through our partnership with the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, where books are distributed to children along with meals and educational programs provided occasionally by Hugh Manatee, our new children’s ambassador.
Endowment HumanitiesAR Endowment is a great way to provide long-term future support for the humanities in Arkansas. The endowment will help provide for programs, special initiatives and grants, literacy projects, and so much more. Planned giving is also a great way to give, so please consider HumanitiesAR in your will.
REACH Grant The Raising Education Achievement and Competence in the Humanities (REACH) Grant supports humanities-based kindergarten through twelfth-grade classroom projects and professional development for teachers and librarians.
Greatest Need Funds Donors may elect to provide funds to be used for greatest needs for HumanitiesAR to empower Arkansans to connect with the humanities.
In Memoriam As a donor, you can give funds in honor or memory of someone and designate one of the options here. The family of the deceased or individual honored will receive a special note from HumanitiesAR acknowledging your gift.
