Major Grants 2022 Updates: Introducing the LOI

HumanitiesAR will be implementing a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the upcoming Major Grants 2022 cycle. An LOI is a preliminary form used to verify that an applicant organization’s tax status and project description are in line with HumanitiesAR and NEH guidelines.

This means that all interested Major Grants applicants will first need to submit an LOI to be considered for funding. The LOI is built into our grant portal for the Major Grant 2022. If you intend on applying, just click “Apply” on the Major Grant 2022 in the Foundant grant portal and it will take you to the LOI. Once approved, the full 2022 Major Grants application will be made available. A preview of the LOI questions is available now.

The LOI for Major Grants 2022 will be available Friday, July 1. The deadline to submit a Major Grants application is September 15, 2022.

As of now, only Major Grants will include an LOI. For more information about the LOI, check out our revised grant guidelines here.
