Arkansas Delta’s Economic Heritage: Johnny Cash Boyhood Home

In partnership with Economics Arkansas, this workshop covers the site history of Dyess, including turning swampland into a resettlement colony, floods, droughts, and other disasters, the Cash family coming to town and how that influenced the music of Johnny Cash, a guided tour and presentations on the economic impact of farming in the Delta, HumanitiesAR classroom resources and grants, and how to connect economics with historic places.
