Using Primary Sources to Teach Professional Development

Join Ann Clements, AHC Education Director and other visiting scholars for humanities content PD workshops this summer. This 90 minute Zoom workshop will explore the National Archives “DocsTeach” program and resources for using and teaching with primary sources in the classroom.

Presentation content relates to Social Studies (Arkansas History, U.S. History, World History, Civics, Government, Economics), English Language Arts, and Fine Arts. In addition, participants will explore strategies for incorporating primary source materials into their classrooms. The workshops are designed for K -12 teachers and librarians/media specialists. Participants will earn 1.5 hours of professional development credit. Confirmation emails with the Zoom link and more detailed information will be emailed upon registration.
